The picture below illustrates the impact of our Safe Ride early warning system. The line marked SLOW DOWN is where the motorcycle first begins to slow down. The line marked APPLY BRAKES is when the motorycle first applies his brakes. The left-most part of the RED SMOKEY CLOUD is the first moment that the car knows that the motorcycle is slowing down. In the bottom picture, the motorcycle has a Safe Ride system and the car begins to slow down way in advance of any braking by the motorcycle. In the top picture, the car keeps going until the brake lights from the motorcycle comes on. At 55 mph, every additional second of notification time equals 80 feet of additional reaction time !!!
